5 THINGS YOU WANT US TO KNOW ABOUT YOUR IMMEDIATE FAMILY

One of my favorite guilty pleasures (and yes, I have a few) is: lounging around all day in my cozy pj’s (especially on a snowy day), wearing my ridiculously cozy and silly, fuzzy, blue cookie monster slippers, while dancing around the house and lip syncing to my favorite songs. It reminds me of my childhood when my three sisters and I would perform skits for our parents. I’m not sure who enjoyed it more!

First of all, I am a twin, and proud mother of amazing, twin sons, Taylor and Brent. Additionally, my dad’s brother is a twin. Yes, that makes three consecutive generations of twins. Perhaps that’s how BOGO came about! Also, I’m related to Oliver Wendell Holmes, Sr. My grandmother, MiMi’s grandfather, is cousin to this famous poet, author and physician. This clearly explains my love for poetry!

I absolutely love the color turquoise. Even the word itself sounds beautiful. Who doesn’t instantly think of the Caribbean or paradise on a tropical island? Like me, it’s multidimensional; a beautiful combination of blue, and a small amount of yellow and fits on the color scale between green and blue. It radiates the peace, calm and tranquility of blue and the balance and growth of green, with the uplifting energy of yellow.

As Mrs. Rocky Mountains International 2016, how appropriate for my favorite outdoor activity to be hiking the breathtaking Rocky Mountains! One of my favorite hikes is Mills Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park, especially in the fall! The beautiful aspen is the quintessential Colorado tree. During the summer it provides shade for our state flower, the Columbine. During the fall, the fluttering leaves turn a vibrant gold that illuminates the hiking trails.
